Brad Simpson raced in NASA competition between 2003 and 2008, amassing 38 starts with an average finishing position of P8.9 and two podium finishes but no wins. His rating of 685 places him among developing drivers; this level describes drivers consistently at the back of club fields or those with too few races to move beyond entry level. Simpson's record reflects the second category: he competed for six seasons in a single-seater or club racing series without establishing himself in the field.[1]

Simpson's competitive context shows a consistent struggle against the drivers who shared his races. In 30 shared starts with Brady Flaherty, a semi-professional competitor, Simpson finished ahead only nine times and behind twenty-one. Against the stronger rivals in his field, the pattern was starker.
