Brian Boyd competed at club level across three seasons of regional racing from 2022 to 2024. His Racer Rating of 1,102 places him in the developing category; he raced consistently against competitive amateurs and club-level drivers but did not establish a pattern of success against stronger opposition. Across 25 starts he scored one win and five podiums, with an average finish of fifth place.[1]

Boyd's record against his most frequent rivals tells a mixed story. He finished behind Cecil Stevens in 15 of 21 shared races and trailed Frank Reinhart in 12 of 18 meetings, establishing a clear pattern of disadvantage against both. Against Ian Sullivan the record was closer, though still slightly negative at four losses to six wins. He proved unable to compete with Marino Reyes, the 2024 SCCA Regionals SC champion, or Luis Lanz, who won the 2022 NASA Super Touring 3 championship; he finished behind both drivers in all their shared races. His strongest comparative result came against James Davidson, whom he out-finished 6 times in 8 races. Boyd recorded isolated victories over drivers of greater strength, including former NASA GTS2 champion Rafer Chambers, but these did not reflect a sustained competitive advantage.

Boyd's racing was concentrated in SCCA Regionals from 2023 onward, where he took his single win and the majority of his podium finishes. A brief spell in NASA in 2022 produced no podiums from 12 starts. He has since retired from competition.
