Cary McHugh is a developing driver racing solo Spec Miata competition in SCCA Regionals, a national multiclass sprint championship that runs up to twenty-five classes per race. McHugh competes in the SMT class alongside amateur, semi-professional and graded professional entrants. The 2026 season is still in progress, and through three rounds McHugh sits 38th in the championship standings.[1]
McHugh has typically finished behind regular opponents including Alan Grossberg, a 2024 GT America GT2 champion and an experienced SCCA Regionals competitor, and Ariel Ben shimon.
