Charles Machala raced in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass championship where amateur and semi-professional drivers compete on the same grid across sixteen classes. He drove Porsches in the D and G classes over six seasons from 2005 to 2010, starting nineteen times and finishing eighteenth in the championship standings in his final year.[1]
He took one win and eight podiums across his career. His most competitive period came early; he recorded two podiums from four rounds in 2010, his last year of racing. He typically finished ahead of regular opponents Earl Schott and John Byram, who had significantly more starts in the series, and beat fellow developing drivers Douglas Molny twice and Christopher Camut once.[2]
