Fred Bross holds a Racer Rating of 1,001, placing him at the developing level; this describes club and regional racing, usually involving drivers early in their careers or competing consistently outside professional fields. Bross recorded a single season of racing in 2023, competing in SCCA Majors competition with two starts and no wins or podiums. His average finishing position across classified results was 4.5, suggesting variability in a very small sample. He has since retired from racing.[1]
Over the course of his two races, Bross finished ahead of William Hoops on two occasions, a driver rated at the competitive amateur level. He also beat Chas Shaffer and Ted Strang once each, both of whom carry ratings well below the professional threshold. These results offer limited evidence of his competitive standing given the small number of starts, and without a longer record it is difficult to characterize the consistency of his performance or potential development trajectory.
