Gerald Cohen raced at a developing level across eight seasons from 2013 to 2024, competing in American club racing across multiple multiclass championships. He raced solo in NASA, PCA Club Racing, and SCCA events, driving German cars in NASA's GTS2 class, Porsches in PCA's SP3, and Mazdas in various SCCA spec classes; he also shared cars in American Endurance Racing's Class 2 and Class Indy categories. His most recent activity was in the 2024 SCCA Regionals, where he finished 83rd in the championship standings across 11 rounds.[1]

Over 75 starts across all series, Cohen took 9 podiums, with the bulk coming from NASA and PCA Club Racing early in his career. His steadiest run was in NASA from 2013 to 2020, where he scored 5 podiums in 16 starts; he added 2 more in 15 PCA Club Racing rounds between 2013 and 2015. His return to SCCA competition from 2022 onwards yielded just 1 podium across 39 combined starts in SCCA Regionals and Majors, with his last indexed result from 2024.[2]

Cohen typically finished ahead of Ronald Cohen, a developing-level regular opponent also racing in SCCA Regionals and NASA, but regularly ran behind Peter Tonelli II, a club-level driver with over 50 SCCA Regionals starts. He beat Ethan Goulart, the 2024 SCCA Runoffs SM champion and an entry-level professional who has raced in TGRNA, SCCA Majors and Mazda Cup, four times across their meetings; he also finished ahead of Francis Selldorff, a professional and FIA Silver driver who won the 2023 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge GSX, once.
