John Nelson is a developing amateur racing in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass endurance championship where up to 16 classes of Porsche road cars share the track in a single race. Nelson raced solo across three classes, GT2R, GT3, and GT4, over eleven starts spanning 2012 to 2023.[1]
Nelson took seven podiums across his career, including two in his final two races in 2023. He finished behind Kevin Roush, a bronze-graded club regular with fourteen starts in the series, in most of their meetings. His record against Tom Weber, another regular entrant, was closely matched. He beat the semi-professional Gene Sigal once and the competitive amateur Jesse Menczer once across his time in the series.[2]
