Jon Baker raced in NASA, a national multiclass championship mixing amateur and professional drivers across fifteen classes in a single-race format. He drove a Honda in the Honda Challenge 2 class as a club-level competitor, the entry point for drivers building racecraft against established opposition.[1]
Baker made 21 starts over seven seasons from 2010 to 2016, taking seven wins and fifteen podiums. His final season came in 2016, when he ran four rounds and finished fourth in the championship standings with a win and three podiums from those events.[2]
In the Honda Challenge 2 field he regularly finished ahead of developing and club-level regulars including Zephyr Belski and Spencer Anderson. He also beat semi-professional Robert Casella, who accumulated more than a hundred starts in the class.
