Robert B. C. Hale raced in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass championship where amateur and professional drivers compete together across sixteen classes in a single race. Hale drove in the D class for Porsches across three seasons from 2008 to 2010, competing as a developing driver.[1]
Hale made twenty starts in PCA Club Racing and took two wins and five podiums over that span. His best result came in 2010, his final season, when he finished fourth in the championship standings with two wins and four podiums from seven rounds. He beat Bob Linville, who made forty-one starts in the series, five times; he also finished ahead of Harvey W Robideau twice across their meetings.[2]
In regular competition, Hale typically finished behind Dwayne Moses, a club-level driver with a much larger experience base across PCA Club Racing and American Endurance Racing, and behind Delbert Auray, another regular in the series. His podium finishes came against a field of club-level amateurs and semi-professionals with varying degrees of experience in the championship.
