Santiago Nicolas Chiarello holds a Racer Rating of 2,521, placing him at competitive amateur level; this describes a driver quick enough to race against professionals in entry-level fields, typically self-funded, but not consistently at the front of such grids. His record on the database consists of a single start in the 2017 SKUSA SuperNationals, where he finished twenty-first and did not score a podium.[1]
That lone appearance produced one notable result: Chiarello finished ahead of Alex Bertagnoli, a driver who would go on to win the 2023 SCCA Majors SMX championship and rate significantly higher as an established professional. He also out-qualified or out-raced Nicholas d'Orlando, a Silver-graded driver and 2021 SCCA Majors FF champion. These were isolated performances in a single race rather than evidence of a sustained pattern, but they show Chiarello was competitive against drivers who later proved themselves at a higher level.
No further racing is recorded after 2017, and Chiarello is now retired from motorsport.
