Steve Angell raced in NASA in 2012, the only season on record. With a Racer Rating of 1,062, he sits in the developing category; this represents club-level and entry-level professional racing, the back of competitive fields rather than the front. Across three starts in BMW machinery, he secured one podium finish and averaged fifth place overall. His most recent activity came in 2012, and he is now retired from motorsport.[1]
Angell's record shows mixed head-to-head results against his regular rivals in that season. He finished ahead of Mike Akard, a former BMW CCA Club Racing champion, in all three of their shared races; he also beat Robert Chang twice across three meetings and Randy Mueller, the 2012 NASA GTSU champion and an FIA Bronze driver, once. Against Scott Collins and Billy Glavin, however, he trailed more often than he led. The consistency of his field suggests his single podium came in a competitive regional class rather than in isolation, though his rating reflects overall struggles to maintain pace in that environment.
