Tim Pruitt is a competitive amateur racing driver who spent 19 seasons in amateur and semi-professional club racing. He has raced primarily in PCA Club Racing and NASA, competing in Porsche-based classes across both series; his 103 starts in PCA Club Racing and 63 in NASA form the bulk of a career totalling 168 starts. Most of his racing has been solo sprint events in domestic American championships, with a late foray into shared-car endurance racing in 2022.[1]

Pruitt's record across PCA Club Racing and NASA shows consistent front-running within the amateur field. He took 21 wins and 53 podiums from 103 starts in PCA Club Racing between 2004 and 2022, and won 15 times from 63 NASA starts over the same span. His record in NASA includes a 2020 title in his Porsche 944 class. PCA Club Racing brought a 2004 championship. In his final season of 2022, Pruitt finished fourth in the PCA Club Racing championship standings while taking three wins and four podiums from four rounds, and made a brief appearance in American Endurance Racing with one podium across two starts in a shared-car Class 2 entry.[2]

He has raced consistently against developing drivers from the same stable, finishing ahead of regular opponents John Torgersen and Larry Helm more often than not, both of whom also competed in PCA Club Racing and NASA across comparable numbers of starts. Pruitt has also finished ahead of Chris Green, a professional racer who has competed in IMSA's national Pilot Challenge series, though that occurred once over their meetings. His Porsche 944 programme sat within a larger team operation that has fielded over 200 drivers across 415 wins in the index.
