Arturo Hernandez Jr. is a competitive amateur, ranked 2,522 on the Racer Rating scale; this places him among club and regional racers, the front of self-funded competition where drivers race against professionals rather than exclusively among peers. His career on record spans a single season in 2010 and consists of one start at the SKUSA SuperNationals, where he finished eleventh in his class. Hernandez finished ahead of several drivers with more substantial records in that one race, including Colby Yardley and Jordon Musser, who held higher ratings and in Musser's case carried FIA Bronze categorisation.
