Wolfgang Schuhbauer is a semi-professional endurance racing driver who competed in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie between 2010 and 2017. He raced GT4 cars in the SP 10 class and modified production machinery in the SP 8 class, primarily for Aston Martin Test Centre Aston. The series ran as a multiclass championship on road courses within Germany, mixing amateur and professional drivers in shared-car endurance racing.[1]

Schuhbauer made 33 starts across eight seasons and took 11 podiums, finishing tenth in the championship standings in his final year, 2017. His record placed him mid-field within a grid that ranged from club-level amateurs to graded professionals. He regularly competed against Uwe Kleen, a three-time SP 8 champion and FIA Bronze-graded professional, typically finishing behind him; he was closely matched with Klaus Völker, the 2014 SP 8 champion. Schuhbauer finished ahead of Hiroaki Ishiura, an established professional and FIA Platinum-graded driver with extensive experience in Super GT and Super Formula, and of Alexander Mattschull, an established professional and Le Mans Cup LMP3 champion.[2]
