Barrie Pullinger competed in karting at club and semi-professional level. His record comprises a single entry in the 2013 SKUSA SuperNationals, a multi-class championship drawing early-career and amateur drivers preparing for higher-tier racing. In that appearance he finished eighth, placing him among competitors of mixed ability but not separating him as a standout performer in that field.[1]
The limited evidence from that one event showed Pullinger able to beat drivers of varying calibre, including Sebastien Bourdais, a Platinum-graded professional and much more experienced competitor; Jan Charouz and Bailey Murphy, both semi-professional racers; and Alex Tartaglia, another semi-professional competitor. A single result against stronger drivers is not enough to characterise a competitive pattern, however, and his modest finishing position in the race itself suggests those wins were isolated rather than reflective of his standing in the grid.
Pullinger is now retired from racing. His career on record lasted only the 2013 season and comprised just one competitive start.
