Bruce Pendleton raced at club level in NASA, a national multiclass road-racing championship that fields amateur and professional drivers together across 15 classes in a single race. He drove a Mazda Miata in Spec Miata and production-based cars in the Power Touring Equipped (PTE) class. His primary team was 111470, which fielded him for 52 of his 61 starts across eight seasons from 2005 to 2013.[1]
Pendleton won 18 races and finished on the podium 33 times from 61 starts. He took the 2009 NASA championship. In his final season, 2013, he won once and podiumed three times from four rounds before finishing 13th in the championship standings.[2]
His most common competitors were Bill Brown and Dennis Clark, both developing club drivers with more than 80 NASA starts apiece; Pendleton typically finished ahead of both. He beat entry-level professional Ryan Ellis twice across their meetings in NASA and defeated professional Steven Thomas, a Bronze-graded driver and 2025 International GT CAY3.8 champion, on two occasions.
