Cecil Morris raced in national multiclass sprint championships, competing primarily in NASA's GTS classes with a Porsche Boxster and later in SCCA T3 competition. He is rated developing, the entry level of competitive racing; his record of 18 starts across four seasons places him among occasional racers in single-driver national events. His most recent activity was in 2024 SCCA Regionals.[1]
Morris finished 11th in the 2024 SCCA Regionals standings after two rounds, taking one win and a pair of podiums. His indexed record spans from 2018, when he began racing NASA, through to 2024; the fourteen NASA starts in his first two seasons produced no wins or podiums. His sole victory came in the Regionals in 2024.[2]
Morris typically finished behind Steve Dunn, an entry-level professional and FIA Bronze driver who competed across NASA and international GT racing, and behind Justin Wilson, another regular NASA competitor. He beat club-level drivers Rafer Chambers and James Leithauser once each, the latter a four-time SCCA Runoffs starter. The Porsche Boxster he drove for most of his indexed career had produced two wins across six drivers, with Dunn as its strongest competitor.
