Steven Tinker was a developing-level driver who raced in NASA, a national multiclass championship mixing amateur and professional entrants across fifteen classes on the same grid. He competed in three of the series' classes; Super Touring 3 with production-based machinery, Super Unlimited with closed-wheel cars of any specification, and Thunder Roadster with tube-frame single-seaters powered by motorcycle engines. He drove for 600 Racing Gp Roaster.[1]
Tinker made twelve starts across four seasons from 2009 to 2014, taking one podium finish. He finished eighth in the 2014 NASA championship standings after four races that year. Most of his racing came against club and developing-level regulars; he typically finished behind Gary Tinker and Jimmy Brunelle, both of whom raced NASA more frequently. He recorded wins against semi-professional driver Scott McKay, who had raced NASA 151 times, and club driver John Spain.[2]
