Chad Finley is an entry-level professional competing in stock car racing at the national level. He raced in the ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Truck Series between 2015 and 2019, driving Chevrolet and Ford machinery for Rette Jones Racing and for his father Jeff Finley's team, Auto Value Parts Stores / Air Lift. His 19 starts across both series yielded one win and three podiums.[1]
Finley took his win in the ARCA Menards Series, where he made ten starts across three seasons from 2016 to 2018 and finished on the podium three times. He raced ovals almost exclusively, with only one of his ten ARCA starts coming on a road course. His NASCAR Truck campaign spanned five seasons beginning in 2015, though his nine starts came in small doses; his final activity was four rounds in 2019, from which he finished 34th in the championship standings.[2]
His most regular competition came against Sheldon Creed, a 2018 ARCA champion and 2020 Truck Series champion with extensive experience across multiple national series, and Gus Dean, an entry-level professional with deep roots in ARCA racing. Finley finished ahead of Creed three times across their meetings and also beat Ross Chastain, an established professional with 306 NASCAR Cup Series starts, on two occasions.
