Charlie Lacy is a club racing driver who competes at the developing level, with a rating of 821. This places him at the bottom of competitive club racing, a level in which drivers race real competition licences in established clubs but typically run at the back of fields and show limited consistency. His career consists of six seasons in PCA Club Racing between 2012 and 2018, over which he made 38 starts without a win and scored only two podiums. His average finishing position across those races was P9.2, a mid-field result that masks a pattern of irregular performance; his final five races, in 2018, placed him P95 as his racing wound down.[1]
Lacy's record against his most frequent rivals shows mixed results. He finished ahead of Todd Butaud and Rachelle Butaud significantly more often than behind them across shared races, and held a strong head-to-head over Kevin Hansel, but was dominated by Michael Quigley, Chris Amond, and Edwin Bomer, losing those battles decisively. He did occasionally finish ahead of drivers from stronger fields, including four results against Matt Travis, a FIA Bronze professional, and single finishes ahead of Luke Oxner and Mitchell Butaud, both PCA Club Racing champions. These were isolated occurrences rather than patterns, however, and do not alter the picture of a developing club competitor. Lacy retired from racing after 2018.
