Luke Oxner is an entry-level professional competing in national solo sprint racing across PCA Club Racing and the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup. He races Porsches in PCA's multiclass championship and Mazda MX-5 Cup cars in the single-class Whelen series for White Racing, a small team that has fielded four drivers across his tenure there.[1]
Over 13 seasons from 2013 onward, Oxner has accumulated 137 starts with 32 wins and 66 podiums across three series. His primary output has come in PCA Club Racing, where he has recorded 29 wins and 58 podiums from 79 starts in its Porsche classes since 2013, and where he won the 2014 club championship. His record in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup from 2017 to 2020 yielded one win and three podiums across 50 starts, finishing eighth in the 2020 championship standings. In NASA's multiclass events, he has taken two wins and five podiums from eight starts in Spec Miata competition.[2]
In PCA Club Racing, Oxner usually finishes ahead of Chris Drake, a club-level regular with 149 starts in that series. In the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, a field mixing amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals, he typically finishes behind Robert Stout, an FIA Silver-graded entry-level professional who has raced the full 50-start schedule for White Racing.
