Zachry Lee is an entry-level professional racing solo sprint events in national American series. He races for McCumbee McAleer Racing, which fielded him in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin across six seasons from 2016 to 2021, competing in both ND1 and ND2 classes in Mazda MX-5 Cup cars. He won the 2024 Mustang Challenge championship in the DHL class, driving a Ford Mustang Dark Horse R. His rating of 3,277 places him at entry-level professional level, competing primarily against semi-professional and amateur drivers with occasional meetings against stronger opposition.[1]
Lee took nine wins and sixteen podiums across twenty starts in the 2024 and 2025 Mustang Challenge seasons, establishing himself as a dominant force in that series. He contested two rounds of the TGRNA GR Cup North America in 2023 in a Toyota GR86 cup car, and has made seven starts in 2026 in GT4 America's Pro-Am class, where he shares a GT4 car in that multiclass endurance championship. His longest indexed tenure came in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, where he accumulated 59 starts across six seasons without reaching a championship position; his best standing there was twenty-second in the final season, 2021.[2]
In the Mustang Challenge, Lee runs closely matched against fellow bronze-graded driver Alex Bachoura, the 2025 series champion, and shares similar standing with entry-level professional Hernan Palermo. He has finished ahead of established professionals Brent Crews, a Trans-Am TA2 and ARCA Menards East champion, and on one occasion Kenton Koch, a gold-graded driver who won the 2025 GT World Challenge America Pro and GT4 America Silver championships. McCumbee McAleer Racing, his primary home team, has compiled forty-one wins across the index with a driver roster including established professional Eric Curran.
