Nathan Byrd is an entry-level professional, FIA Silver-graded, competing part-time in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series for Young's Motorsports in a Chevrolet Camaro SS. His primary racing has been in International GT, a multiclass endurance series run across six classes on road courses in the United States, where he races 3.8-litre and 4.0-litre Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars.[1]

Byrd's record spans seven seasons from 2020 to 2026 across nine series. His strongest results came in International GT from 2022 to 2023, where he took 15 wins and 25 podiums from 27 starts, winning the 2023 championship. He has raced in SVRA since 2024, taking 7 wins from 9 starts for another championship in 2026. His move into NASCAR began in 2024, with 18 Truck Series starts, all on ovals, and 12 Xfinity Series starts split mainly between ovals and occasional road courses. He also won the 2023 Trans-Am title driving in three rounds of that series, finishing third in championship standings with one win and all three races resulting in podiums.[2]

In his regular NASCAR competition, Byrd typically finishes behind established professionals Rajah Caruth and Chandler Smith, both with over a hundred Truck Series starts apiece. His noteworthy results against stronger opposition include finishes ahead of Corey Heim, the 2025 NASCAR Truck champion, and Kaden Honeycutt, an established professional with extensive Truck and ARCA racing; he has beaten both drivers in head-to-head racing. His entry into the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series marks an expansion into national-level stock car racing.
