Chandler Smith is an established professional racing stock cars at national level. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 38 Ford F-150 for Front Row Motorsports, and part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Hettinger Racing and the NASCAR Cup Series for Front Row Motorsports. His rating of 4,376 places him among drivers who race regularly at the upper tier of national stock car competition.[1]

Smith has spent nine seasons in indexed racing from 2018 to 2026, totalling 236 starts across multiple series. He won ten races in the ARCA Menards Series between 2018 and 2022, his most prolific early period, and has since accumulated nine wins in the Truck Series and three in Xfinity. In the Truck Series he has been a consistent starter with 107 entries and 20 podiums; the bulk of his racing has come on ovals, where he has contested 93 of his 107 Truck starts. His Xfinity record shows 71 starts with 13 podiums, again predominantly on ovals. He has made seven Cup Series starts since 2023 but has not scored there. He also holds two podiums in NASA club racing in Ford Mustangs and has made endurance starts in ChampCar's C class.[2]

Smith's regular competition includes established professionals Sheldon Creed, the 2018 ARCA Menards champion and 2020 Truck champion, and Austin Hill, each of whom he races closely and regularly. He has finished ahead of elite-level drivers including Christopher Bell, the 2017 Truck champion, five times across their head-to-head meetings, and Denny Hamlin twice. The wider field in the Truck Series, where he spends most of his time, includes established and developing professionals competing for regular rides in the sport's second tier.
