Christian Wack was a competitive amateur racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass endurance championship in which cars are shared by multiple drivers rotating through long-distance races. He raced near-standard production cars in the V5 and V6 classes for Scuderia Augustusburg Brühl.[1]
Wack's indexed career consists of a single season in 2011, when he made seven starts and took two podiums, finishing 16th in the final standings. His results came against a mixed field of amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals competing in the same races.[2]
He ran close to Martin Tschornia, a semi-professional and later Cup 4 champion in the same series, and finished ahead of professionals including Oliver Bender, an FIA Bronze-graded driver with eight starts in the championship, twice, and Lorenzo Rocco, a professional with 23 Nürburgring starts. He usually finished behind Steve Jans, a Bronze-graded professional who would go on to win multiple titles in the series and race internationally in Asian Le Mans and the Road to Le Mans.
