David Bahr is a developing-level driver who raced in NASA, a national multiclass endurance series that combines amateur and professional competitors on the same grid. He drove a Mazda MX-5 Miata in the Spec Miata class during his single indexed season in 2003, completing five starts.[1]
Bahr's record in that season placed him among the regular competitors in Spec Miata but typically behind his most frequent opponents, Gary Buccellato and Mike Halpin. He finished ahead of Jonathan Christian once. In another outing he beat James Sofronas, an entry-level professional and FIA Bronze-graded driver who went on to win the 2022 International GT EXH championship and the 2025 McLaren Trophy America Am.[2]
