Eric Liu is a developing driver competing in American Endurance Racing, where his Racer Rating of 1,275 places him among club-level racers; this is the entry point of licensed competition, where drivers are building experience against established fields but have not yet progressed to the calibre of national or professional racing. Across four seasons from 2023 to 2026, Liu has made 11 starts in the series, recording three podiums without a win and averaging a finishing position of P4.8 when classified.[1]

Liu's record against his regular rivals shows competitive balance at his level. In eight shared races against 2023 American Endurance Racing Class 3 champion Michael Koepke, Liu finished ahead four times and behind four times, a dead-even head-to-head that speaks to consistency rather than dominance. He holds similar splits against Kenneth Rutyna, Harry Sukumaran, and Jeff Jones, all drivers within a narrow rating band around his own. More notably, Liu has beaten several stronger drivers in isolation: he finished ahead of Reid Garton, a professional-rated competitor, three times across their meetings, and has single or double wins over other drivers rated significantly higher, including professional-level competitors David Tuaty and William Alsup.
