Scott James is a semi-professional racing driver competing in single-seater and production-car racing across PCA Club Racing and Trans-Am. He races Porsche 911s in the SPB class of PCA Club Racing and lightly modified GT cars in Trans-Am's GT class. James retired after the 2022 season.[1]

Between 2011 and 2022, James made 20 starts across both series. His primary racing came in PCA Club Racing, where he accumulated 19 starts over twelve seasons in a multiclass championship mixing amateur and professional competitors. He took a single podium finish in his lone 2022 Trans-Am start and ended that season fourth in the GT class championship standings.[2]

In PCA Club Racing, James regularly raced against developing drivers with far more extensive records in the series; he was closely matched with Laurence Jitts, who had 114 starts, but typically finished behind Todd Butaud, who had 133. He beat semi-professional drivers including William Tally, a Bronze-graded competitor with significant experience in PCA Club Racing and IMSA Pilot Challenge, and Adam George, the 2024 American Endurance Racing Class 2 champion.
