Ernesto Roco is a developing driver who raced in NASA, a multiclass American championship that ran amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers together on the same track. He competed in the American Iron and American Iron Xtreme classes, which contest V8 pony cars, driving for Ford across his career.[1]
Roco made eight starts in NASA between 2003 and 2007, taking one win and four podiums. He finished 47th in the championship standings in his final season, 2007.[2]
He raced regularly against Keith Videtto and Hal Massey, both developing drivers with substantially more NASA experience; Roco typically finished behind Videtto but ran closely matched with Massey. He beat club-level driver Ryan Walton three times and took a podium ahead of developing driver Gary Umphenour once.
