Ira Ferguson is a developing driver who raced in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass championships in the United States between 2013 and 2018. Ferguson competed in NASA's GTS2 class, piloting a Porsche Cayman in four starts during 2013 and 2014, and made a single appearance in American Endurance Racing's Class 3 in 2018, sharing a production-based car in multiclass endurance racing.[1]
Ferguson's indexed record comprises five starts across the two series. In NASA, Ferguson contested three rounds in 2014 and finished 25th in the championship standings. Ferguson was outpaced by regular opponents Jim Kessler and Robert Lutz, both developing drivers with considerably more NASA experience, and typically finished behind them in head-to-head racing. The sole American Endurance Racing start came four years later, late in Ferguson's racing career.[2]
Ferguson's most notable result was a finish ahead of Thomas Lee, a semi-professional driver and two-time consecutive American Endurance Racing Class 2 champion, in their one meeting.
