James Forbis is a club-level driver who raced in NASA, a national multiclass endurance championship mixing amateur and professional competitors. He drove a Chevrolet Corvette in the Super Touring 2 and Super Unlimited classes across five seasons from 2008 to 2013.[1]
Forbis recorded 5 wins and 10 podiums from 13 starts. His best finish came in the 2013 season, when he took a win and two podiums over two rounds and finished fourth in the championship standings.[2]
He typically finished ahead of developing and club-level regulars including Rudy Orawiec and Greg Vannucci, who had considerably more experience at the series. Forbis also beat semi-professional Bronze-graded drivers Sarah Cattaneo and Kevin Clifford, each once; Cattaneo has since raced IMSA Pilot Challenge and GT4 America, while Clifford has competed in both NASA and GT4 America across a longer career.
