🏳️ James Hess

James Hess is a developing driver competing in club-level racing. With a Racer Rating of 948, he sits at the entry level of competition; this rating describes drivers who are consistently at the back of club fields or who have too few races on record to have moved off the entry level yet. Hess is in his first season of racing, with two starts recorded in SCCA Regionals during 2025.[1]

In his limited racing to date, Hess has shown some notable results against more established opposition. He has beaten Andy O'Brien, a driver rated at club level, once. He has also finished ahead of James Roberts, the 2008 NASA GTS4 champion, twice across their meetings. Similarly, Hess has twice outfinished Jon Moyer and Raymond Heath, both club-level drivers. His average finishing position across his two classified starts stands at P7.5.

Hess remains active in SCCA Regionals racing. With only two races to his name, his development as a competitor is at a very early stage, and the small sample size of results makes it difficult to establish any consistent pattern of performance.
