🏳️ James Roberts

James Roberts is a developing driver racing in national amateur and semi-professional multiclass sportscar championships in the United States. He competes primarily in SCCA Regionals, where he races a first-generation Mazda Miata in the SSM class, and has been active since 2008 across NASA, PCA Club Racing and SCCA competition.[1]

Roberts has taken two wins and three podiums across 93 starts. His wins came in 2008 with Porsche in NASA's GTS4 class, a multiclass field mixing amateur and semi-professional drivers with graded professionals. He has also raced Porsches in PCA Club Racing across three classes. His racing since 2022 has been concentrated in SCCA Regionals, where he has made 79 starts in Miata machinery. In the current 2026 SCCA Regionals season, he sits 16th in the championship standings after 15 rounds.[2]

Roberts typically finishes behind his regular SCCA opponents, including developing driver Jay Bindrim and competitive amateur John Hotz, who has accumulated over 190 starts across SCCA series. He has beaten entry-level professionals Morgan Burkhard, a FIA Silver graded driver with IMSA Pilot Challenge experience, and Camden Gruber, who has raced SCCA Majors and NASA extensively; each result came once in direct competition.
