James Posig raced in the BMW CCA Club Racing championship from 2003 to 2007, a national multiclass series run in the United States where amateur, semi-professional and graded professional drivers share the track across eight classes. Posig drove a BMW in the KP class and started six races over five seasons.[1]
Posig took one podium finish across his career. He finished 19th in the championship standings in his final season. Against his regular opponents he was closely matched with Eric Nissen, a developing driver with 18 BMW CCA starts and 11 NASA starts to his name, and usually finished behind David Cullen, another regular who has raced BMW CCA and NASA at club level. Posig beat both Cullen and Ed Harrington once each across his time in the series.[2]
