Jeff Perritt was a competitive amateur racer in BMW CCA Club Racing, a national multiclass championship where eight classes share the track. He raced a BMW in the IS class between 2019 and 2021, competing in a field that mixed amateur and semi-professional drivers with graded professionals.[1]
Over three seasons Perritt made 15 starts and won 12 races, finishing on the podium in 14 of them. He took the 2020 BMW CCA Club Racing championship. His most recent season in 2021 yielded one win from two rounds before he stepped back from the sport, leaving him 11th in that year's standings.[2]
Perritt typically finished ahead of regular opponents Spencer Wharton and Connor Wharton, both developing drivers with comparable experience in the series. He beat Joe Fuchs, a semi-professional who had raced across BMW CCA Club Racing, American Endurance Racing and NASA, once across their head-to-heads.
