🏳️ Jim Tway

Jim Tway is a developing driver racing solo in national multiclass sprint championships across the United States. He competes primarily in SCCA Regionals in Corvette and near-stock cars, with additional starts in SCCA Majors, NASA's multiclass grid, and the SCCA Runoffs. His Racer Rating of 843 places him among drivers early in their competitive development.[1]

Across six seasons from 2013 to 2026, Tway has made 15 starts and taken one win and four podiums. His most recent activity is the 2026 SCCA Runoffs, where he has completed one round so far in the T2 class as the season continues. His single victory came in SCCA Regionals, where he has made six starts and finished on the podium twice; he has also taken two podiums in five starts at SCCA Majors. Early racing in NASA from 2013 to 2016 yielded three starts in the Super Touring 2 class.[2]

In competition with regular opponents at his level, Tway typically finishes behind Oli Thordarson, a developing driver with significantly more extensive racing in NASA and SCCA series. Against Patrick Howe, also developing, the two are closely matched. Tway has beaten competitive amateur drivers Robert Weston and Josh Carroll in individual races; both have substantially longer records in NASA and SCCA Regionals than his own.
