Joachim Kiesch was a competitive amateur racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass endurance championship in which each car is crewed by multiple drivers sharing the driving duties across races. He competed for Bonk Motorsport in modified production-based cars and near-standard production machinery, racing from 2010 to 2012.[1]
Across three seasons he took 12 starts and scored two wins and three podiums. His victories and podium finishes came in his first two seasons; his final year brought no results on the podium. He beat professional drivers Oliver Bender and Lorenzo Rocco once each, though these remained isolated results against generally stronger opposition he encountered regularly.[2]
Kiesch usually finished behind his most frequent rivals, the club-level racer Bertin Sing and competitive amateur David Ackermann, both of whom had considerably more starts in the series. He raced for Bonk Motorsport, a small operation that fielded 19 drivers across the index with six wins overall, its strongest driver being the professional Roelof Bruins.
