Joey Andrews is a semi-professional racing in national multiclass sprint championships in the United States. He races spec Mazda MX-5s in NASA's Spec Miata class and SCCA competition in SMX, driving for Mazda Spec Miata. With 45 starts across four seasons from 2023 onward, he has taken five wins and 17 podiums.[1]
He was SoCal Spec Miata regional champion in 2024. He qualified for and has begun racing the SCCA Runoffs in 2026.[2]
Andrews typically finishes mid-field against a mixed amateur and professional grid. He is closely matched with entry-level professional Christian Hoagland, a regular opponent across both NASA and SCCA Majors. Against the stronger professionals on the grid he has beaten entry-level pros Ethan Jacobs and Cam Ebben in the SCCA, though he usually finishes behind club-level regular Sophia Storey.
