Johan Schwartz is a Bronze-graded amateur endurance and club racer competing across multiple national series in the United States. His primary base is BMW machinery, racing in club championships and production-car endurance grids. He holds a Racer Rating of 2,595, placing him among competitive amateurs; this level describes drivers who race regularly in mixed fields alongside professionals but typically finish mid-pack against established competition.[1]

Schwartz has spent 17 seasons racing since 2008, accumulating 121 starts across seven series. His longest tenure is in NASA, where he drove an Acura RSX for nine seasons from 2008 to 2016, taking 16 wins and 28 podiums in 47 starts and winning the 2009 NASA championship with BMW. He moved into multiclass endurance racing with American Endurance Racing in 2016, where he has raced across Classes 1, 2 and 3 in production-based machinery and taken 3 wins and 16 podiums in 38 starts through 2025. He contested GT4 America's Pro-Am class for TechSport Racing in 2023 and 2024, gathering three podiums in 15 starts, then pivoted toward club and spec racing; he has raced BMW CCA Club Racing's BM and Spec E46 classes since 2025, and is in his first season in Lamborghini Super Trofeo NA with 89x Motorsports, where he has taken a win and four podiums in eight starts. He currently races in the 2026 Zenith Racing Series and sits 16th in the championship standings with rounds still to come.[2]

Schwartz races most regularly against developing drivers who form the base of his competitive set; he typically finishes ahead of Robert Patton and Fred Switzer, both NASA and club regulars with considerably more starts in those series. His strongest result on record is a pair of finishes ahead of Conor Daly, an established professional and Star Mazda champion with 133 IndyCar starts; Schwartz has also beaten Kenton Koch, a Gold-graded multiple GT4 America and GT World Challenge champion, once in their meetings.
