John Gordon is a developing amateur competitor who raced in national multiclass championships across solo sprint racing in Porsches and single-design sports racers. He drove primarily for Porsche 996 in NASA competition from 2009 to 2016, and raced in PCA Club Racing and SCCA Regionals across an eight-season career that ran from 2006 to 2022.[1]
Gordon took 13 wins and 20 podiums across 38 starts. In NASA, where he spent most of his time, he won 10 races and finished on the podium 17 times over 24 starts in GTS3 and Super Touring 2 machinery. He won championships in NASA in 2010 and 2011, both in Porsche 996. He added three wins in PCA Club Racing across ten starts in the Porsche classes. His most recent racing came in 2022 with four starts in SCCA Regionals; he finished 115th in that season's championship standings.[2]
Gordon regularly finished ahead of other developing drivers on the NASA grid, consistently beating James Wagaman and Thorpe Logemann in head-to-head racing. He also defeated Mike Skinner, an entry-level professional with experience in NASCAR Xfinity, twice in competition, and beat semi-professional Sam Schechter once.
