Klaus Viljanmaa was a developing amateur racer competing in PCA Club Racing, a national multiclass championship where up to sixteen classes share the track. He raced Porsches in the GTA2 class and competed across two seasons from 2012 to 2013.[1]
Viljanmaa took five wins and seven podiums from thirteen starts in the series. His best season came in 2013, when he finished second in the championship standings with four wins and five podiums across ten rounds. His results placed him among closely matched regulars in the field, where he raced repeatedly against semi-professional competitor David Baker and fellow developing driver Marc Villeneuve. He also finished ahead of Patrick Lindsey, a professional with FIA Silver grading who has raced IMSA WeatherTech and the World Endurance Championship, and Cory Friedman, a semi-professional who has competed in International GT series.[2]
