Kolton Griffin raced in the SKUSA SuperNationals, a multiclass national championship that draws amateur, semi-professional and professional drivers to compete in the same race across eight classes. He started four times between 2008 and 2016, competing in the KZ2 kart class and in the S1 Pro Stock Moto and S2 Semi-Pro Stock Moto classes.[1]
Griffin finished ahead of Remo Ruscitti, a professional who went on to race in IMSA's national WeatherTech and Pilot Challenge series, and beat Trent Hindman once; Hindman would become a two-time IMSA champion. His racing was otherwise among the mid-pack competitors in a field that included multiple drivers who later reached professional and graded status.[2]
