Mark Sargis is a developing competitor racing in national multiclass production-car championships operated by the SCCA. He drives heavily modified production sports cars in the FP and HP classes, competing in a field that spans amateur and semi-professional entrants through graded professionals across 25 classes in a single race. His career spans three seasons from 2022 to 2026, with eight starts across three championships.[1]
Sargis took a win and a second podium finish in the SCCA Regionals in 2022. Since then he has competed in the SCCA Majors in 2025 and 2026, and most recently made his first Runoffs appearance in 2026. His results have come against a field of club-level racers; he has finished ahead of Matt Brannon, a competitive amateur with six Majors starts, on two occasions, and once beat Chris Schaafsma, who won the 2022 and 2023 SCCA Runoffs HP championships. Against his most regular opponents, both club racers with significantly more experience in the series, Sargis typically finishes behind them.[2]
