Matthew Polk is a developing amateur racer competing in SCCA Regionals, a national multiclass championship where up to 25 classes share the track in a single race. He drives a Spec Racer Ford in the SRF3 class and has five seasons of indexed racing on record from 2022 to 2026, with 15 starts across SCCA Regionals and a handful of appearances in the Velocity Invitational, where he currently drives a 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA.[1]
In SCCA Regionals over four seasons he took two podiums from 13 starts. His most frequent competitors in that series include Sam Schechter, the 2023 SCCA Regionals SRF3 champion, whom Polk usually finishes behind but has beaten once, and Keith Fraser, a club-level regular with whom he is closely matched. Polk has also finished ahead of Mike Andersen, a semi-professional who has contested national-level racing in SCCA Regionals and Star Mazda. In 2026 he joined the Velocity Invitational with his entry in the Alfa Romeo; two rounds have been raced so far, and he currently sits 19th in the championship standings.[2]
