Mike Keller is a developing driver who competed in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series in 2024. His rating of 701 places him at club level, the entry point of competitive racing against drivers holding real competition licences. He made 12 starts in the series and finished fourth on average, taking one win and six podiums across the season to finish third in the final standings.[1]

Keller's record shows a clear split in his performance against the field. He beat Robert Pearlmutter eight times in eleven meetings, outscoring a much weaker competitor comfortably. Against the stronger end of the field, however, the pattern reversed sharply. He finished behind series champion Donnie Steele in eleven of twelve shared races, losing decisively to a driver rated more than 1,300 points higher. Against Robert Sanders he won four of twelve head-to-heads, but these were exceptions rather than the norm; he finished behind Sanders in the majority of their encounters. His single win came against a field where he demonstrated occasional capability against mid-tier competition but struggled consistently against the series' established front-runners.[2]

Keller has since retired from active racing. His one season in the Lucas Oil Formula Car Race Series provides a limited sample, but the available evidence suggests a driver competitive at the developing level who found the gap to established professionals too large to close with extended racing.
