Mike Weathers is a competitive amateur racing in national multiclass championships. He competes primarily in NASA, where he drives Chevrolet Corvette Z06 machinery in the Super Touring 1 and Super Unlimited classes, and has also raced in Trans-Am's XGT class. His record spans from 2015 to 2022.[1]
Weathers took two wins and five podiums across six NASA starts between 2015 and 2021, racing for Gspeed. He added two further podiums in three Trans-Am starts in 2021 and 2022, finishing seventh in the 2022 Trans-Am points. His wins and podium finishes came against a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals on the same grid.[2]
In his regular competition against developing and entry-level professional opponents, Weathers typically finished ahead of Rene Molina Jr but behind Erich Joiner, the 2021 Trans-Am XGT champion. His best results came against competitive amateur drivers such as Paul Costas and Brandon Westenburg, whom he beat in individual meetings.
