🏳️ Mike Taylor

Mike Taylor is a competitive amateur racing in American multiclass club racing. He competes primarily in SCCA Majors and SCCA Regionals, racing small-bore production-based tuner cars in the STL and ITX classes, and has also raced Porsche 944s and V8 pony cars in NASA's multiclass championship. His current racing is with Ford.[1]

Across nine seasons from 2009 to 2026, Taylor has taken 58 starts and recorded six wins and 23 podiums. He first raced in NASA between 2009 and 2012 in multiclass competition. His more consistent activity began in SCCA Majors from 2021 onwards, where he has taken three wins and 15 podiums across 29 starts. He has also raced SCCA Regionals since 2022, adding three wins and eight podiums from 14 starts. In the 2025 SCCA Regionals season, still in progress, he has taken one podium from two rounds and currently sits 43rd in the championship standings.[2]

Taylor races regularly against Danny Steyn, a 2021 SCCA Runoffs STL champion with over 160 starts across the three series, and typically finishes behind him. He is closely matched with Chuck Hines, a fellow competitive amateur with 71 starts in SCCA and Runoffs racing. He has beaten entry-level professionals including Jarrett Jones twice and FIA Silver-graded driver Will Lucas once across their meetings in SCCA and NASA competition.
