Danny Steyn is an entry-level professional competing in national solo sprint racing across multiple SCCA and NASA multiclass championships. He races spec Mazda MX-5 Miatas and small-bore tuner cars in the Spec Miata and STL classes, with a Racer Rating of 3,181. His primary focus is the SCCA Majors series, where he drives for Mazda Spec Miata.[1]
Steyn has won four consecutive SCCA Majors STL championships from 2021 through 2024, accumulating 50 wins and 70 podiums across 106 starts in that series alone. In NASA multiclass racing he took 13 wins and 20 podiums in 29 starts across PTD, Spec Miata and Super Unlimited classes between 2008 and 2021. He has also competed in SCCA Regionals and the SCCA Runoffs, the latter a season-ending national championship where he won once in seven starts. His career spans 18 seasons from 2008 to the present, with 151 starts, 67 wins and 100 podiums across all indexed series.[2]

He has also beaten established professionals; he finished ahead of FIA Gold-graded Connor Zilisch, an ARCA Menards East champion and current NASCAR Xfinity regular, seven times across their meetings, and ahead of FIA Gold Matthew Payne, a Supercars Championship regular, four times.
