Will Lucas is an entry-level professional racing in national solo sprint championships across multiple classes. He races primarily for Wheelhouse Motorsports in the Mustang Challenge DH class, piloting a Ford Mustang Dark Horse R, and competes in SCCA series events in spec Mazda MX-5s and small-bore production-based tuner cars. He holds an FIA Silver grading, the provisional grade for drivers developing toward full-professional status in endurance and sportscar racing.[1]

Across four seasons from 2023 to 2026, Lucas has accumulated 38 starts with 2 wins and 12 podiums. His breakthrough came in 2026 with a maiden Mustang Challenge victory at Virginia International Raceway in August. The bulk of his racing has been in SCCA regional and national competition, where he has won once and taken five podiums in eight starts across multiple classes, building toward competitive performances in the national majors series. His Mustang Challenge campaign, still in progress, has yielded one win from 16 starts with seven podiums to date.[2]

He races in a field mixing amateur and semi-professional entrants with graded professionals across SCCA Majors and Regionals, and competes regularly against other entry-level professionals including Devin Anderson, whom he usually finishes behind, and Sandy Satullo, with whom he is closely matched. He has twice finished ahead of Cole Loftsgard, the 2026 Mustang Challenge DH champion, and three times beaten Helio Meza, an entry-level professional with experience across Whelen Mazda Cup, SCCA Majors and Trans-Am TA2.
