Will Robinson is a semi-professional racing driver competing across national single-class and multiclass championships in the United States. He drives the No. 51 Mazda MX-5 for McCumbee McAleer Racing in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, where he is currently 22nd in the standings through six rounds of the season in progress. Robinson also races part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards West, driving Toyota Camrys for Nitro Motorsports.[1]
Robinson's record spans five seasons from 2022 to 2026 across SCCA club racing and national series. In SCCA Majors he has taken one win and three podiums from 47 starts in spec Mazda MX-5s and small-bore tuner cars; in SCCA Regionals he won once and podiumed four times from 37 starts in spec Mazdas. He stepped up to professional machinery in 2025, racing the Trans-Am TA2 series and joining the Mazda MX-5 Cup, and entered the ARCA Menards Series in 2026 with three starts to date.[2]
In the Mazda MX-5 Cup and SCCA series Robinson races regularly against entry-level professionals including Noah Harmon and Frankie Barroso, both drivers with extensive SCCA and MX-5 Cup experience; Robinson typically finishes behind them. He has finished ahead of established professional Sebastien Bourdais, a Platinum-graded driver with 152 IndyCar and 65 IMSA starts, once, and has beaten professional NASCAR driver Corey Day twice in wheel-to-wheel racing.
